Truckee California Court Leve was introduced to photography during high school. Although Court did not pursue his passion for photography immediately he did keep active in the arts. While attending The American University in Washington, D.C., Court studied Art History and was deeply involved with the ceramics program. After leaving the University, Court spent a few years working for a blacksmith artist in Jackson, WY before eventually moving to San Francisco, CA. There, Court briefly turned away from the arts and focused on a career in the Human Resources industry. After several years he decided it was time for a change and he followed his desire to move back to the mountains this time landing in Truckee, Calif. Now, Court currently works as a freelancer after spending several years working for the local newspapers, the Tahoe World and Sierra Sun. Court's images may also be seen in publications such as Warren Miller's SnowWorld, Parade Magazine, The New York Post, the Tahoe Quarterly, ISM, Sierra Heritage, The Weekly, Couloiur, Freeskier, Skiing, and The Ski Mag in Australia. Court's list of clients include Squaw Valley USA, Sierra at Tahoe, Kombi Gloves, Canine Hardware, Spyder, Points North Heli-Adventures and numerous other local businesses. Motivated by challenge Court favors shooting action photography. Whether it be big mountain skiing, base jumpers, motocross or even high school sporting events. The challenge of capture quintessential moments is what keeps Court focused. Action photography is one area which Court has been fortunate enough to work with some top names in the industry but his abilities and passion do not end there. Court also enjoys shooting intriguing landscapes and dramatic events such as wildfires and the occasional wild animal sighting. Combining his skills of shooting action and journalism is what also keeps Court in demand during wedding season.
