Personal Details Jeff and his support crew of professionals are dedicated to fulfilling the visual objectives of his clients and have done so for over 18 years. With a proven reputation of providing award winning photography for some of the nations top agencies and clients including Goodby Silverstein and Partners, Porsche Cars North America. The Designory, Siemens, DDB and Wells Fargo Bank, to name just a few.
Jeff Dow is a long standing member of APA San Francisco and his name is listed among the few to have captured the prestigious National Addy Award which he received in Washington D.C. for his outstanding photography for Porsche Cars North America International Print Ad Campaigns, 2000. His passion for the medium has appeared in industry’s most important publications, such as Communication Arts, Graphis and Print. As a graduate of Brook Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Jeff is ranked within a short list of alumni to have graduated with honors and special recognition. It was the status that launched his career. Jeff’s education during the last two terms at Brooks was focused solely on automotive photography and immediately following graduation in 1987, Jeff was hired by General Motors Design Staff. While working in Detroit and commuting from Ann Arbor (his birthplace in 1963), Jeff Dow found himself (either by chance or fate) right back to his roots in the motor city. At General Motors, Jeff produced editorial photography for the nation’s top automobile publications, as well as confidential photography of prototypes and concept card, including Corvette, Saturn, Geo, Cadillac, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Buick. Wile working at G.M., Jeff photographed several long-lead assignments, bringing him to shoot locations in Huntsville, Canada; Lake Linear, Georgia and Watkins Glenn, New York where he produced breathtaking (first-time) imagery of G.M automobiles prior to public or media release. Jeff now runs his own studio and has been producing outstanding photography for his clients nationwide. Whether in Palm Springs, California or Southwest Harbor, Maine Jeff’s creativity follows him. Travel, speed Skiing and extreme sports are some of Jeff’s interests. When he’s not behind the camera, he loves spending time with his wife, Diane and their two daughters, Whitney an Lindsey at Lake Tahoe, Nevada or enjoying their summer home in Block Island, Rhode Island. |
