Brian Sweeney is an avid rock climber. As his love affair with rock climbing began to deepen, he discovered an affinity for the camera that he used to document his climbing adventures. Amidst traveling and documenting his adventures, Brian began having his images published in various climbing magazines, clothing catalogues, and guidebooks. Deciding to follow his passion, Brian began studying art and soon became determined to make work that didn’t treat aesthetics and conceptual validity as mutually exclusive qualities. Soon after his entry into the art world, Brian was published in Photographer Forum's "Best of College Photography 2004." In May of 2007 Brian received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. Since receiving his degree, Brian has been very fortunate in his budding photographic career and has been published in several climbing related publications and has exhibited his art work in numerous galleries.
